It’s a New Year, and that means it’s time to start on all of those resolutions. If you are looking to increase engagement on social media platforms, 24Notion has you covered! We’ve put together our top 5 tips for increasing integrated communications engagement. While the word “engagement” is thrown around a lot today, it is important to remember that engagement is more than just getting followers (although we love increasing our social media following!). Engagement is what can persuade people to follow your company, and also what keeps followers interested in your brand or company.
So, what are our top tips for gaining a following and engaging your audience?
Choose a target audience
As much as we all want our messages to reach everyone, it’s just not feasible to successfully reach such a wide audience. Choosing a target audience that will be meaningful for your specific messaging is key. Also, keep in mind that your audience on Twitter may be different than on Facebook or Pinterest. Setting up a target audience will help you customize, which is what we love at 24Notion.
Understand your audience
This is different from simply knowing an age range of your followers. What kinds of demographic characteristics does your target audience have? How do they think? What do they like to do on social media? Knowing your audience will allow further customization and shape how you form campaigns and messaging.
Understand the objective (and stick to it)
Every campaign or social media strategy has an objective behind it. Make sure you know what it is and build off of that. 24Notion has successfully implemented strategic, integrated marketing for our clients that achieved bottom line results to meet objectives and increase engagement.
Want to connect? Today, everyone wants integrated marketing communications. We’re all about integration in our work! Connect websites to your social media, and use similar messaging across platforms for consistency. Link together all of your messaging—you can integrate grassroots, print ads, and PR communications to make a comprehensive campaign. There are so many ways to connect, so let’s use them!
Prioritize, prioritize, prioritize
After doing all of this work to reach your target audience, what’s left to do? Planning is key to prevent you from getting overwhelmed with details. Divide your work into small, manageable tasks and make sure you know what is at the top of your priority list. This makes it easy to carry out a big social media push. After you release your messaging, don’t forget to prioritize in some time to read your data so you know your success rates!
Whether you are looking to hook in a few followers for your campaign or keep your audience engaged through your initiatives, these tips will help guide you as ways to build up your social integrated communications relationships. While many mourn the coming of September for its mark of the end of summer, we at 24Notion are anxiously waiting its arrival. On Friday, September 14th Portland’s Downtown Hilton Hotel will get a whole lot of good vibes coming its way, as it hosts Portland Business Journal’s Corporate Philanthropy Awards of 2012. With honorees such as First Federal, Portland Timbers, Nike, Intel, and Cambia Health Solutions, this event covers the span of small, medium, and large companies that play a huge role in our (finally) thriving community.
Along with the sized categories of philanthropic honors, PBJ will also be presenting three companies with the Innovative Partnership Award, in which 24Notion will be a respondent! This is a huge honor for the entire crew and we could not be more pleased to see that not only our hard work and creativity for clients, but also our dedication to giving back in fresh and sustaining ways is gaining notice.
This is not the first time we have been singled out by Portland Business Journal for our philanthropic mindset – we have been ranked 2 years in a row as the 23rd most philanthropic company by PBJ’s annual list. Looking back, there have been Napster and Myspace but now there is SoundCloud, Grooveshark, Pandora, and so much more. This panel provides the unique opportunity of being able to look back at what music has done in the past, what is happening right now, and what needs and will be done in the future.
International communication within this digital world is developing rapidly. Social connections are no longer confined to face-to-face interactions, but instead have grown in a very experimental way. Whether you want to be engaged or not, the digital chatter exists 24 hours a day, seven days a week — how can we keep up? How can we navigate within its constant growth?
We were front and centered in showcasing the amazing experience at the American Country awards(hosted by kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins) 2011/2012 engagement with proceed going to Childhelp. Every celebrity autographed Childhelp buckle as a sign of their committed compassionate to support children recovering from abuse, neglect in helping to nurture programs through Childhelp.

-At StartUp America: we were greeted by Kathleen Warner
-We hung out a couple times at the #alutrend lounge (alcatel lucent). Hey, we didn’t get to win the camera. since I sucked in haiku creation…. oh well. Thanks for the amazing drinks/food throughout the day! shout out to the mohawk’s guy!
-The bar downstairs’ at Hilton has been our daily hangout to reconvene with our team to chill out
-24Notion team had a blast helping out our clients and succeeded over the 5 days period of SXSW: SXSW Music & Interactive (sessions/panel/events and in between campaigns pushed)
